I promised to upload the recipe for these amazing Mexican taco’s. They are healthy, full of protein and just very delicious. I made them in about 30 minutes. Quick & easy lunch / dinner is on the way!
2 jalapeño peppers
1 red onion
2 garlic cloves
800 g minced beef / turkey / chicken / poultry
1 tbsp olive oil (extra vierge)
1 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp cumin powder
2 tsp chili powder
4 tbsp tomato paste (no salt)
400 g canned crushed tomatoes (no salt)
Add the olive oil to a pan and warm up over medium heat. Once warm, add the onion and jalapeño and cook for 5 minutes. Afterwards add the garlic and stir for about one minute. Put this onion mixture in a bowl. Use the same pan to cook the minced beef. Cook through. Add the cumin, chili and garlic salt. Stir well. Add the onion mixture, tomato paste and crushed tomatoes to the baked minced beef. Let simmer for 10 minutes. In the meantime warm up your taco shells of whole wheat tortilla. Finish up with some lettuce and you are all set for a delicious meal.
