This trip to Nice, France was actually quite spontaneous. It’s one hell of a beautiful destination that got the entire package: sun, sea, fun, good food & lovely inhabitants. Together with my boyfriend (@13mica) we stayed for three days in La Douce France.
As a flight attendant I’m an extremely lucky girl to be traveling to so many beautiful places. Since I’m mostly staying in the plane and coming straight back home, I cannot wander through all the cities we fly to. A few days off are therefore the perfect occasion to visit some amazing places.
I had four days off meaning I could plan a short trip to a European destination. My boyfriend and I were looking for the ultimate holiday feeling close to home. Nice was just perfect. After a 1h30 flight (from Belgium) we arrived at Aéroport Côte d’Azure in Nice. I was seriously thinking about extending our stay with another day but due to work I had to come home.
We took strolls down the Promenade des Anglais, went on a morning exploration trip to Castle Hill & chilled at the beach like every normal tourist. The views from the Castle Hill are stunning. The water looks even more turquoise from above! Just behind the Promenade des Anglais you have the beach. No sandy beach but a pebble beach. I do recommend wearing some shoes or flip flops to make life a bit more easy :).
Like the foodlovers that we are, we ate tons. Nice used to be Italian and it showed! Pizza, pasta and gelato everywhere. But hey, absolutely no complaints over here: we are Italian food freaks. Living life like a Burgundian over there. Fresh pastries for breakfast with a piece of fresh baguette and jam, fresh fruits … hard not to gain weight in Nice. We stayed in Hotel Le Méridien located on the Promenade des Anglais where we spend some time in the rooftop swimming pool with a stunning view over the Mediterranean Sea. I am already dying to go back and may already be planning that next trip! ❤️🇫🇷
Here are some photos of our stay in Nice and the outfits I wore. I went for sneakers during the entire stay because I like actually enjoy my walks along the beach :).
