Hi sweet babes
We are all looking for natural made products, products that have less chemicals. It’s a real trend, using those products. L’Oréal surely knows how to respond to this hype. Today I present to you: L’Oréal Botanicals Fresh Care.
The range isn’t new to me as I already used the shampoo and conditioner from the Safflower Rich Infusion range. Now I received the Coriander Strenght Source range and I was of course very happy to try it out. Are you curious what I think about both lines? Let find out below.
These are the products send to me to test for you. Since I already knew about The Botanicals Freah Care range by L’Oréal Paris this was quite easy. I actually even wanted to make a blogpost before I received these ones. Strange how things can go, right?
The Botanicals range exists out of 4 different lines:
° Coriander: Strength Source (green)
° Safflower: Rich Infusion (orange)
° Geranium: Radiance Remedy (pink)
° Camelina: Smooth Ritual (purple)
Find your hair’s better nature.
Botanicals focuses on making premium hair care enriched with the most exceptional natural ingredients. Within every step during the making of these products, all of the co-developers (botanist, farmer, chemist, hair specialist) used their passion and expertise to find the finest vegetable products in the world. These raw materials were integrated in high quality formulas that combine extraordinary textures and exceptional perfumes and are free of silicons, parabens and colorings.
L’oréal strives for more sustainability, cooperation and solidarity. Looking for these finer products made hem find a new way to sublimate our hair.
Let’s first talk about the products I received: Coriander Strength Source. Later on I will also discuss the range I already had at home.
A lot of people know I’m more likely to buy ‘natural’ made products than heavily processed products. Since I have a very sensitive scalp, due to my surgery I like my products to be soft, not harsh and painful. You can understand I was (yes again, I’m always like this) super excited to try out this line.
Coriander Strength Source
“Even vulnerable hair can find it’s better nature”
One of the worlds most powerful vegetable ingredients is Coriander. It’s 100% biodegradable, renewable and rich in omega 6. Did you know Coriander has been used for centuries in traditional herbal medicinal products for it’s revitalizing power? Well, me neither!
The coriander seed oil used in this Strength Source line will revitalize and fortify your hair from root to tip.
The shampoo has a gel-like texture giving a light foaming effect and a lightly spicy scent.
The conditioner is white, like the most other conditioners and has the same spicy scent as the shampoo. Apply it after you shampooed your hair. Leave in for a minute, comb through with a big toothed brush and wash out well.
The Strength Potion is a sort of leave in conditioner. Apply it when you’re out of the shower. Make sure your hair is towel dry and put some drops on your hand (5 or so depending the length of your hair. Mine is short so I used 5). Divide the product over both hands and use mostly on your hair ends. Comb through and dry like you would normally do.
My hair definitely looked stronger and not frizzy. I am in love with the scent but It’s something you either love or hate. Don’t be too skeptical, especially my coriander hating followers/readers, give it a chance. Smell in the store and see for yourself.
Safflower Rich Infusion
“Even dry hair can find it’s better nature”
Safflower is a sweet orange flower of which the oil is rich in lipids. I’ve never heard of the flower, did you? The scent is simply amazing. It’s fresh and has an Oriental vibe.
Ancient Egyptians used Safflower oil as a nourishing cream. Perfect for our dry hair, right?
I bought this line in early January, if I’m remembering it well. I chose for the shampoo and conditioner but there’s also a mask and softening pomade available. I’m just quite lazy when it comes to applying masks on my hair (whoops). It’s very good for your hair but it needs to sit and I get cold in the shower and yes … I’m whining. And I also never knew there was softening pomade available, now we know!
As you can see in the picture above, I already used the products a lot. Sorry for the creases in the conditioner!
The Safflower oil used in this Rich Infusion line is perfect to heal your hair and restore it’s softness.
The shampoo looks nothing like the one from the Coriander line. It’s creamy and has a light orange tint (very light, or it’s just my eyes). It foams very well releasing the amazing Oriental scent.
The conditioner has that same Oriental scent and has to be applied after your shampoo. It’s the perfect line if you have a lot of tangles in your hair. Leave for a minute to work, comb through to detangle and to spread the product. Rinse well!
I used this line 3 times a week for the last month or so and I’m very pleased with it. My hair feels less dry and when I blow dry it, it’s definitely less frizzy than when I use another product. I’m not saying it’s gone completely but I guess I should have bought the entire line! Anyway, the two products definitely did their job correctly and I really like this new Botanical Range by L’oréal.
You can purchase these four Botanical lines in Di or in some Carrefour markets (Belgium).
° Shampoos: € 9,99
° Conditioners: € 9,99
° Masks: € 9,99
° Treatments: € 10,99
