July 22nd: D-Day. The day I was going to my very first festival ever and how lucky can one be if that first one is Tomorrowland? Thanks to Aperol Spritz (one of my favorite drinks) I was able to have a day to remember at Tomorrowland.
I really must admit that a few years ago I was NOT the type of girl wanting to go to a festival. I got my reasons for those thoughts but aging & having my medical issues really changed me. Can I say I lived my life without experiencing everything that life has to offer, like going to festivals? Nope, I guess not and that’s why I was so so happy to be able to go to Tomorrowland as my first festival ever. Together with my boyfriend, we started the journey towards De Schorre at Boom. Car parked at Parking 2, taking a stroll towards the festival terrain & already getting into the festival mood thanks to the amazing Tomorrowland people. After walking around in the park, looking (gawking) at all these decorations, stages … I was sold. This was definitely my festival! AND THEY HAD POPCORNNNNNNNN.
After that exploration journey, what it definitely was, we went to the Aperol stage called The Leaf. The stage was gorgeous, located on the water & decorated with lots of flowers, and they even had their own DJ on the roof. This is the place where I met Natalie & Sara. Together we drank quite a few Aperol Spritz (like 7 each) and boy oh boy that was so much fun. Thanks a lot girls for making Tomorrowland even better.
After having the best time in The Leaf we went of to see Craig David. He made some crazy perfect mixes on stage. To me it even was one of the best performances at Tomorrowland. After Craig David we hopped in the Brussels Airlines Loop rider and let me tell you with some Aperol Spritz my fear of heights was a lot better.
Following that ferris wheel ride we went to eat some pasta and later on we went to Netsky and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike at the main stage. To end to our perfect day was provides by an ice cream, Belgian waffle & Martin Garrix.
The rain couldn’t stop us that day. Thank God for free poncho’s & my fancy (bought in sale) rain coat from New Look.
I was already saying to my boyfriend that I’m already going to ask a holiday for Tomorrowland next year! I’m so in again, maybe this time for the full weekend? A girl can dream right?!
Thank you Aperol Spritz for this amazing day, without you guys I wouldn’t have had this Tomorowland madness experience.
Lots of love
